Short biographical notes (300 words) Dr. Jeb McAviney completed his masters degree in chiropractic at Macquarie University in Australia in 2001. He continued his training in spinal rehabilitation completing a fellowship in Clinical Biomechanics of Posture, going on to become an advanced fellow and rehabilitation technique instructor. Dr McAviney completed a second a masters degree in Pain Medicine at Newcastle University’s School of Medicine and Public Health in 2010.

Since 2006 Dr McAviney’s clinical focus has been on the treatment of Scoliosis. From 2007 to 2010 Dr McAviney was the clinical director for conservative treatment at the London Scoliosis clinic and during this time also held the position of research and development manager at The Spine Corporation. Dr McAviney returned to Australia in 2010 and is currently the clinic director of the Sydney Scoliosis Clinic and research director for ScoliCare Australia.

Dr McAviney has presented scoliosis and spine related research to thousands of health professionals at over 50 speaking events worldwide including the Scoliosis Research Society, SOSORT, The Spine Society of Australia, The British Scoliosis Society and IMAST. Dr McAviney is a reviewer for the European Spine Journal.
