Short biographical notes (300 words) Jim has been a certified orthotist /prosthetist since 1990. He joined NOPCO, the clinical care division of Boston Brace, in 1993. In 1996 he was appointed Director of Pediatric Prosthetics at the NOPCO of Children’s Hospital Boston MA. Here he specialized in the prosthetic management of congenital limb deficiency, and the orthotic management of idiopathic scoliosis, and plagiocephaly. Since 2004 Jim has been Vice President –Director of Education for Boston Brace. Jim conducts national and international training seminars on the theory and practice of the Boston Brace System as well as other innovative products developed by Boston Brace for the conservative management of spinal and limb pathologies. He is a graduate of The Northwestern University Orthotic-Prosthetic Program, and holds a BA from The University of Vermont. Jim enjoys skiing and time on the beach with his wife and two children.
