Short biographical notes (300 words) Born in Rome in 1950, specialization in Orthopedics and Traumatology and Physiokinesitherapy, in 1978 winner of the National Research Council Fellowship at theOrthopaedic Clinic of the University "La Sapienza", reconfirmed in 1981 when he won the Judgement of fitness Researcher at the Institute of Orthopaedics, University "La Sapienza"of Rome. Since 1979, he was responsible for experimental work and clinical lengthening of the limb, then deformities and other spinal pathologies, dating from 1979, collaboration at the Centre des Massues in Lyon with Pierre Stagnara,then at the Children's Hospital in Boston with John Hall and at the Queen Mary Hospital in Hong Kong with John Leong.
Founding member and Secretary General of the European Spinal Deformities Society since 1981, from 1991 to 1995.
President of the Italian Society of Medical Gymnastics
University Associate Professor in 1986 and Professor in 1999.
Called by the University of L'Aquila as a teacher of Pathology of the Locomotor Apparatus 1987, then coordinator of the integrated course of Diseases of the Locomotor Apparatus, has held the following positions:
Director of the Center for Paralysis Interdepartmental Services,
Director of the School directly for special purposes for Academic Nurse for the period1993/94 - 1995/96,
Director of the School of Specialization in Orthopedics and Traumatology.
In November 2004, was named for the transfer to the Faculty of Medicine, University "La Sapienza" of Rome, Pontino pole.
